Join Our Team as an Auditor / Assessor

At Control Union UK, we work with integrity, independence, and expertise to provide trusted certification and assurance services across a wide range of industries. We are looking for a motivated and professional Auditor/Assessor to join our team and help us deliver high-quality assessments to our clients.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, while identifying opportunities and risks in the market.

  • Work closely with certifiers to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.

  • Plan, prepare, and conduct assessments in line with ISO19011 requirements, from initial document reviews through to on-site visits.

  • Deliver clear, accurate, and professional reports that demonstrate compliance with relevant standards.

  • Follow up on assessments, including handling of claims, appeals, complaints, and concerns.

  • Stay up to date with sector developments, legislative changes, and certification requirements.

  • Support and coach other assessors through witness assessments.

  • Take samples and carry out assessments as authorised.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone with:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent training/experience in a relevant discipline.

  • Strong written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills at all organisational levels.

  • Solid knowledge of assessment principles, conformity assessment processes, and programme requirements.

  • Strong note-taking, report-writing, interviewing, and presentation skills.

  • The ability to manage and deliver assessments independently and efficiently.

  • For Lead Assessors: additional expertise in business management practices, client products, and specific management system standards.
