Dr. Stefan Holler is an expert in sustainable aquaculture. He previously worked for Naturland, the Association for Organic Farming, for 12 years. He worked within the Aquaculture and Fishery Department. His main responsibilities were the development of organic aquaculture projects, with focus on small-scale farmer groups worldwide. This included detailed planning and implementation of the projects on-site, often in close collaboration and communication with local authorities and associations. Stefan engaged in various public relation activities on consumer and producer level, organization of workshops as well as regular presentations at conferences were a major part of his work. In addition, he regularly provided expertise to legislative processes at national (German) as well as EU level.
In September 2018, he joined Control Union UK as Aquaculture Manager. His main responsibilities include certification decisions and review of inspection documents (EU organic, Naturland, BioSuisse, USDA-NOP) and technical support / capacity building for several Control Union country offices worldwide.
