    Getting certified in 5 steps

    Control Union UK aims to provide assurance and confidence to all interested parties that a product or process that it certified fulfils the requirements of the relevant inspection or certification standard. It’s for that reason that the certification process is laid down in procedures, which describes the entire process, from application to certificate issuance and who is qualified to conduct such activities.

    Client application for a certification programme

    Apply for the certification programme of interest from the certification page or contact us to begin the application process and an application form will be sent to you for completion and returning to us.

    Application review and offer letter

    Once we have your application and have reviewed that Control Union UK can provide the service, based on the certification requested, we will provide you with an offer letter or proposal that will indicate the price and scope of your certification.

    Accept and audit planning

    Upon accepting and signing a service agreement, we will contact you to schedule your audit in compliance with the requirements established by the programme. An auditor or audit team is assigned to your audit, who will send an audit plan to help you prepare for your audit.

    Audit execution

    During the audit, the auditor or audit team, will assess your organisation’s compliance against the specified programme requirements. At the close of your audit or evaluation process, the auditor will indicate if any non-compliances have been found and agree deadlines for corrective actions.

    Audit review and certification decision

    After you resolve any non-compliances within the established time, an independent certifier will review and make a certificate decision. If it is positive, a certificate will be issued. If the results are not satisfactory, you may reapply as required by the certification programme.
