Nayana Nilanga

Nayana joined Control Union UK in February 2023 as the Textiles Department Manager to coordinate the CUUK textile certification programs for GOTS & the Textile Exchange.

He has worked in the fashion and clothing manufacturing industry since 2016, as a fashion designer and a technologist, Nayana has more than 7 years of experience working with his own label as well as under reputed garment manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka. In addition, he has worked as a fashion and textile lecturer and consultant, giving him both breadth and depth of  experience and knowledge in the textile industry.

Nayana studied in University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka where he obtained his Bachelor of design (Hons) degree in fashion design and product development.
