Peter Kelly

Peter joined CU UK in January 2022 and has a professional background of 25 years in the timber industry having worked for a major timber importer, timber & building supplies merchants, timber engineering and joinery manufacturer where he specialised in managing ISO Quality Management Systems, industry specific schemes and as the Chain of Custody Manager.  He represented the Wood Industries on the Board of Directors of the Sector Skills Council, sat as a member of the Timber Trade Federations Forest Forever Board for a number of years and was Chair of Governors for 12 years for one of the largest High Schools in the North of England.

He holds an Associate of the Institute of Wood Science, is a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a Member of the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining (MIMMM).  He has been a qualified Chain of Custody Lead Auditor for FSC & PEFC since 2019 and has successfully completed ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training through IRCA examinations.

He enjoys sport, music and reading in his spare time.
